  Do exercise A (pg 78) and B (Paso 1), page 78

F October 1st:         In class: Expressing possession 77-78; Nationalities 70;   Porque/para 75/ Practice for oral exam I

                               Homework: Study for the oral exam.  Review all materials listed in the study guide for the written exam, especially all vocabulary sections and verb conjugations.  Oral exam is graded on Comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation and grammar accuracy.  

M October 4th:        In class: ORAL EXAM I/ Class assignments to be handed in at the end of the period/ (There will be a series assignments on 96-101; each will be worth a homework grade).  Your cooperation and patience during the completion of the oral exam is crucial and appreciated.  Any student’s disruptive behavior will result in a lower grade for the student’s class assignments.   

Homework: Refer to page 95. Pick either A or B and write a 40-60 word paragraph on the topic selected.  Refer to the new vocabulary presented throughout the chapter and include at least 6 different verbs.        

W October 6th      In class: Peer editing composition #1/ “La unidad familiar” 93; How frequently 84

F October 8th:        In class: Quiz/ The numbers 103/ Pointing out people and things 107-109

                               Homework: Finish composition #1. Make sure verbs agree with subjects and adjectives agree with nouns. Also, please use the new vocabulary of the corresponding chapter and at least 6 different verbs. This short composition should be between 100 and 150 words.  Compositions are graded on grammar accuracy, vocabulary, organization and sophistication.  

M October 11th:     In class: Hand in composition #1/ Expressing actions and states 111-113

                               Homework: Read 116-117 and do exercise B (Paso 1) 117

W October 13th    In class: Using “mucho” and “poco” 114/ Expressing destination and future actions 116-117
